The recognition of credits already earned is regulated in the general study and examination regulations. Academic and examination achievements, as well as degrees obtained in study programs at other state or state-approved universities and vocational academies in the Federal Republic of Germany, or in study programs at foreign state or state-approved universities, will be recognized, provided that there is no significant difference in the acquired competencies compared to the achievements or degrees they replace. Proof of knowledge and skills acquired outside the higher education system may be recognized on a case-by-case basis, provided that their equivalence in terms of study content, academic performance (workload), and proof of achievement with the study module of the present degree program has been established. The decision on recognition and crediting is made by the responsible examination board.

With a first university degree (B.A., B.Sc., B.Eng.) completed with a minimum of 180 ECTS credits in total, or a state-recognized “Diplom”, “Magister”, or “Staatsexamen”, you can apply for our master’s programs (M.Sc., M.A., MBA, MBE).

Yes. Graduates of a first university degree in all disciplines can apply for the master’s programs at Steinbeis University.

As a graduate of a bachelor’s program at Steinbeis University, you can pursue a further master’s program at Steinbeis University or any other university. As a master’s graduate of Steinbeis University, you are generally eligible to pursue a doctorate.

Yes. All study programs at Steinbeis University conclude with a state-recognized university degree. Furthermore, all study programs at Steinbeis University are accredited.
