Ferdinand von Steinbeis (1807–1893) was a pioneer in vocational training and a visionary in business and technology. As the founder of numerous trade schools, an educational innovator, and a promoter of the integration of knowledge and skills, he was already thinking far ahead in the 19th century. His educational ideal was that of a lifelong learning personality. Steinbeis University sees itself in his tradition. Future orientation and the synergy of theory and practice are firmly anchored in our DNA.

In collaboration with our university and corporate partners, we offer our students unique opportunities to develop problem solutions in a real environment based on learned knowledge. This requires them to systematically develop, apply, and expand their skills at various levels. In the Project Competence Program, they learn what later makes them outstanding specialists and managers: to act competently and innovatively in a world that constantly challenges them anew with dynamic changes.
